History[]
The Rants Forum was originally more like a game feedback forum, and "ranters" used to apply to people who would pick holes in everything about RuneScape, which is rather difficult. Its counterpart, the "Compliments Forum", was where all the shameless brown-nosers would be herded by Jagex Moderators who were tired of hearing how wonderful they were. However, after the Wilderness '07 Updates, Jagex realised that their popularity was more unstable than a giraffe on an ice rink. Therefore, they merged Compliments and Rants to enable the sparring ranters and Jagex brown-nosers to create electricity for the forums.
