Har'Lakk rain

Har'Lakk the Riftsplitter enjoying his abilities

This is the article for the Dungeoneering boss fightable at Level 35. For the red, less intelligent and bigger demon, please visit the K'ril Tsutsaroth page. Although to be honest, saying that K'ril is less intelligent isn't saying much as demons go. They're all thick as shit. I mean they just stand around, twice your size and still let themselves get killed by some little shit standing in a corner doing wind blast. You wonder why they don't just wander over and claw your face off. It just doesn't make sense, does it? Oh stop reading into it, it's a game. Fuck off already.

Har'Lakk the Riftsplitter is a boss that came with the Dungeoneering skill. As you'd guess looking at his skill advance guide picture, he's a demon, like K'ril Tsutsaroth. But he is purple, which makes him seem more like a mascot for a sugary demon than a evil demon hellbent of the destruction of the entire universe. He's one of the three Dungeoneering demons that managed to break their way into the game, and are a fair bit tougher to beat than the common or garden demon.

While To'Kash the Bloodchiller has power over ice, and Bal'lak is intelligent enough to increase his defence as you tear him a new one, Har'Lakk has power over the rain. He could have summoned the average English weather in order to make you go "OH NO ITS RAINING!" and run towards the nearest shelter, but thats a bit too smart a thing to do, so he has fire rain, poison rain and black rain instead.

Still better than the BBC

Fighting Har'LakkEdit

"TASTE THE ASTHMA!!"

- Har'Lakk, on his rain abilities

Like all demons, Har'Lakk tends to not be able to reduce Fire Surges to a random inconsequential splash of water, and is therefore the best way to wreck him, especially as handily placed boxes stop him from trying controversial plastic surgery on you with his giant purple claws. He will drain your prayer with a magical rock if you use Protect from Magic on him, and after that starts using catchphrases statistically 35% less cliche-ridden than "Hulk Smash!", but 28% more than "YARRRRRRRR!". Theres no way to avoid these completely, so just take minor effects and run, hoping he doesn't spam it to attempt Reverse NPC Grief Burst.

A common mistake is to think that the poison does a fixed amount, but if you stand under it, thinking the most you're gonna get poisoned for is like 83, then, when the poison rain stops, you take 733 poison damage and LOLURDEADED.

One redeeming factor is, unlike many other bosses who drop inconsequential trash like vambraces, Har'Lakk drops rapiers up to primal, a feature more positively recieved by one person than an especially bad movie sequel to an especially bad movie based on especially bad books by an especially bad author by especially stupid 12 year old girls.
